The all-out full court press on La’el Collins has worked. He has now officially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. The veteran offensive tackle comes over from Dallas on a four year deal worth $50 million. Marisa Contipelli, the team reporter for the Bengals reported that the first thing that Collins said to Joe Burrow was, “Your new bodyguard is in town, no one’s touching you.”
Just spoke with La'el Collins who told me the first thing he said to Joe Burrow: "Your new bodyguard is in town, no one's touching you."

The magnitude of this signing for Cincinnati cannot be overstated. La’el Collins is a monstrous lineman. With his power, he has a fleetness of foot that is unusual in a lineman.
The Bengals offensive line troubles over the last two seasons, their weakness against the pass rush leading directly to Joe Burrow’s horrific knee injury in his rookie season, as well as Cincinnati posting the third most sacks allowed in the league last year. Only the superhuman quality of Burrow and his receivers, notably Ja’marr Chase, has kept them in contention.
