One week into the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the next city that will be hosting the event, Los Angeles, has been taking notes as their own preparations continue to gather pace. The Californian city will be in the spotlight in four years’ time and with it, new events making their Olympic debut.

One of the sports that will be added to the Olympic program is Flag Football and with the expectation it has generated, several NFL stars have expressed an interest in representing Team USA in the discipline.

One of them is New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who, after overcoming an Achilles tendon injury last season, is preparing to make his return to the field. During his invitation to the Up & Adams program, Rodgers was questioned about a possible reunion with Davante Adams, with whom he has formed a great partnership. However, the quarterback ruled it out in the short term, but opened the possibility of forming a ‘Dream Team’ at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games in Flag Football.

I love Davante. I’d love to play with him again. It could be the 2028 Olympics if they let some of the veterans go out and play. But we’ll see, I want him to be a huge success,” Rodgers said.

NFL stars dream of a Dream Team in Flag Football

Aaron Rodgers’ comments about competing in the 2028 Olympic Games in LA, come in the wake of other NFL stars who say they would want to participate, even though Flag Football has different rules to the game they are used to. They see it as a unique opportunity to star in an Olympic event.

Rodgers joins Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelceas some of the stars who have revealed their intention to participate in LA 2028, although they know that age will play an important role.
