The Rangers clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference by winning the Presidents’ Trophy with a franchise-record 55 wins and 114 points. Their remarkable regular-season performance gives them home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
This will be the 10th all-time postseason series between the Rangers and Capitals. New York holds a slight advantage (5-4) in their playoff matchups. The Rangers have won each of the past three series in seven games, including their most recent clash in 2015. The schedule for all the games hasn’t been confirmed yet, so keep an eye out.
